Siding

There are tons of decisions to be made and we're slowly working through them all.  Next up, choosing a siding!  We had several colors that we liked, but two really stood out for us.  We're going with Hardie Plank Cedarmill Lap Siding.

My top choices (top row, L to R): Heathered Moss, Boothbay Blue, and Monterey Taupe
J's top choices (bottom row, L to R): Pearl Grey, Navajo Beige, and Cobble Stone

We narrowed it down to Monterey Taupe

and Boothbay Blue

Aren't they beautiful?  When looking around at our neighborhood, though, it seems like there are a TON of blue houses in the area.  They are all different shades of blue (and we knew we didn't really have to take into account others' houses when designing our own), but we decided to go with Monterey Taupe.  I think it's a great neutral color that will allow us to spruce up the outside with color seasonally.  I can just imagine putting up some dark green garland with red accents in the winter time.  I'm considering having a cranberry red or dark brown front door.  YAY!  I'm also horrible at decorating and think trying to make the Boothbay Blue work while decorating will be too much for me haha.

Here are some more Monterey Taupe pictures!
